Effin Boat Names

Thinking of naming your boat something ambiguous or using a bad pun?

No problem, but you better be a better sailor than this guy before you settle on the final boat name. The blogger from EVK4 has a very strong opinion on the subject, best expressed in this excerpt from the author:
Sheesh, I hate ambiguous boat names worse than boat name puns.
Read his full blog post here and let me know if you feel the same way about ambiguity and puns in boat names, or, if you think those types of names the most fun...

A View from Boston

We went to the Boston Boat Show at the beginning of this month to talk boat names with New England boaters. We were exhibiting products from and meeting hundreds of great people. We even got interviewed by Captain Lou of Nautical Talk Radio!

Here are a few pics from the show...

This is the first view most folks saw when approaching the boat show.

Anniversary Boat Name

What a great anniversary present to themselves! Received this message (below the picture, courtesy of Lund Boats) from a Maine family that needs a small metal boat named. What would you suggest?
First boat. Lund SSV 18. Living on the Maine coast. Will use in the ocean, bays, landing on islands. Island camping. Some fishing. Bought on our 16th wedding anniversary. We have one daughter.

Let Your Fingers Do the Walking

Recevied this message a few weeks ago and have yet to come up with any good boat name ideas. The family sent in this picture of their newly purchased Crownline 225, a 22 foot bow rider they bought in Austin, Texas. Please post your boat name suggestions as comments below:
Me, my wife, and daughter Olivia (Libby) and our dog Lou are now enjoying our first boat. Me and my wife sell ads for the Yellow Pages. We enjoy socializing with other boaters. Our friends boat name is Miss Behavin, so were looking for something kinda cool. Favorite show is True Blood.
