My next boat's name is FirstBoat.

I chose that boat name because it is "free" advertising for a website I run called FirstBoat.com, or at least a good conversation starter about my businesses.

Also, it is the first boat I will name. My previous boat was Dancing Bear 3, which I left on from the previous owner.

My Daddy had a 1973 Searay that my Mother named: Easy Living

He had it for about 15 years and they decided they didn't need a boat AND a motor home so they sold it to me about 10 years ago. I used it and loved it. Then things started breaking. New engine, new outdrive, new transom gear, new seats, etc, etc,..
My wife said if I was going to keep it, she would rename it.
The side of the boat proudly states: TDB

The back of the boat says it all:

THAT DAMN BOAT

FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE said...

In February of 2003 I flew from Charlotte to Phoenix on business. I spent the entire flight trying to come up with a name for my new boat, a 29' Monterey Cruiser. I must have written down 30 names, but none of them really grabbed me!
Well, the trip was extremely stressful, so on the return trip I informed the flight attendant that I was interested in a double Crown Royal and ginger. My colleague informed me that it was only 1:00 pm mountain time, to which I replied, "Well, it's five o'clock somewhere"! BANG! It hit me! FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE.

Some months later, Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett hit the charts with a song entitled, Five O'clock Somewhere. Now the boat has a name... and a theme song!

I need help naming our new boat. My husband and I have a Grand Banks Trawler. He has always wanted one and now has finally gotten it. He is an Electrical Contractor so I wanted to name it "Wired ContracOar"..he didnt like my name all that much, but we do think a name pretaining to his work would be cool. Remember this babies runs at a top speed of 10 knots so nothing about speed would work...lol!

Also, I just got a new puppy, a cockapoo, who will become our boat dog, so any names there would be appreciated too!! Thanks so much!!

My wife and I just bought a used 2007 Rinker Captiva 226 that is blue and white in color. It is the "Liberty" edition so it has some American Flag decals on the side. We are both in the Navy, we love the outdoors, we have a 5 year old daughter and we are both originally from Missouri. I would like to name it something patriotic, but I am stuck on what to actually name the boat.

My husband decided that if he couldn’t have a Corvette for his 40th, then he wanted a boat. We started off small and his mom and dad bought a 17 ft Bayliner. Three days later and still no name, I stated to my mother-in-law “I know technically this is your boat…” She quickly responds, “no it’s a we boat”. Every one yells that’s the name. Are 17ft Bayliner is now “WEE BOAT”.

We are now stumped on naming our second boat, a 22 ft Winner.
After enjoying Wee Boat for a few months we decided that it was not big enough for our 3 boys (although we do plan on keeping her). We won the bid on E Bay and after one trip out we decide this boat will do just fine for a while. But what to name her, it has already been two week! Some names we are pondering: Still Winning, A Stone’s Throw (our last name is Stone), For The Boys, and Wee Boating.

It was certainly interesting for me to read that blog. Thanx for it. I like such themes and everything connected to them. I would like to read a bit more soon.
